ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

Our Center was more than pleased in January 2026 to receive a check in the amount of $2,937.40 from the Campaign for Ending Hunger managed by the TriCorp Credit Union and raised by the PeoplesChoice Credit Union.

In July 2025, the Kennebunk Savings Huntington Common Charitable Fund granted our Center $21,000 to give our kitchen new cabinets, countertops and paint. This charitable fund was established in order to support nonprofit organizations that enrich the lives of older adults living in York County. We were most appreciative of this grant and are pleased to say that the kitchen renovation has been completed.

Our Center is proud to have recently received a $5,000 donation from Al and Nancy Faucon. The Faucons, who are members at the Center, have graciously made this donation toward needed repairs at the Center.

The Sam L. Cohen Foundation in Portland has awarded the Wells Ogunquit Senior Center a $10,000 grant to help fund a new generator. This philanthropic foundation is committed to supporting and improving the quality of life in southern Maine and we are most appreciative of their grant.

Our Center has also received a generous donation of $75,000 from the Midge Durdle Memorial Trust. Midge was a Wells resident and real estate broker who supported the Center for many years and frequently played cribbage here. While a member, Midge donated one of the stone benches that sits outside our front entrance in memory of her parents. We thank Midge for her thoughtful donation and will use it wisely.

We would especially like to acknowledge all the support our Center has received from local businesses and individuals who cooked meals for our members, provided entertainment, sponsored golf tournament holes, advertised in our newsletter, offered discounts to members and otherwise helped contribute to our center. They are too numerous to list. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, this support has been crucial.
